You heard that right. We're back! And we're excited to announce that we are ready to tour!
We're not your average jazz band. We have a unique sound that developed by performing together for decades. In that time we've created a huge library of original compositions and arrangements that span the entire line of Jazz history.
Our faithful regional audience has followed us over the years. They are more than familiar with the range of sound and the depth of passion that we have for this music - having played to packed houses throughout our region, we look forward to performing at new venues.
We're now senior citizens, and after years independent projects, our music, together, has aged like a fine wine.
One thing we've learned for sure: There are only two types of music: Good and Bad.
We're the good.

Band Notes:
Regional working musicians all network and work together. That's just the way of the business no matter where one lives. Musicians recommend one another and those recommendations usually carry the most weight. CO-OP BOP is no exception to this rule.
What makes them unique? They managed to keep playing together regularly while each earning their respective livings as freelance artists. This gave the group a regional reputation of being an actual band as opposed to the more common "put together" groups hired to play dates. Is there a difference? The answer- YES!!! Next question- Is it a negative or positive to be able to play all styles of jazz within the vast historical time line? If you are an individual artist that needs to keep working the answer is most definitely YES. However if you are a band the general business attitude seems to be NO. Why? Simply because your sound does not have a label that can be used promotionally. Bring CO-OP BOP to your community and you will clearly see how entertaining their presentation is.
